First, create a catalog

The first thing you will want to do is add a catalog to your account. Most likely you will want to create a few catalogs so you can keep your stuff organized in similiar catalogs. You could create a DVD catalog, a music catalog, a book catalog and a custom catalog. You can create as many or as few catalogs as you want. Add a new catalog by cicking the "Add/Edit Catalogs" from the menu at the left. When creating your new catalogs you can hide them from the public by unchecking the "Visible to the internets" option

Second, start finding and adding items.

Once you have created at least one catalog you can start adding things to them. Use the "Add to Catalog" form on the right hand side of the page. You can select the media type that best describes the product you are looking for. This will help return better search results. If you have a barcode scanner you can easily scan your products as long as you have the "UPC,ISBN,EAN,ASIN" option selected. TechnoMule will automagically import all information on your items including the product photo, description, cast, author, publish date etc... In the event that you want to catalog an item that can't be found in the system skip to the next section!

Adding custom items

In the event that you have a custom item or an item that can't be found in our system you can easily add custom items. From the menu on the left hand of the page select "Create Custom Item." You can add a title, description and up to 3 photos for your custom items. You can also set your custom items to hidden so that nobody else can see them by selecting "Hide this catalog item from other users" this would be ideal for adding items of value like jewelry or private items.
